Viewed from a top storey window across the Quayside rooftops, the Tyne Bridge looms large. One of the most defining and iconic symbols of the North East, the bridge was designed by Mott, Hay and Anderson (who also designed the Sydney Harbour Bridge) and was officially opened by King George V on the 10th October 1928.
